ABOUT THE PROJECT

Adore and Infinate partnered in order to create the new Adore Cosmetics mobile app. We needed to develop the app to communicate the premium brand value that Adore enjoys among its customers, while enabling new customers an easy entry into the product line.

Moreover, conversion and sale was the biggest priority, as more than 90% of Adore's sales happen online-access. This ruled out a traditional e-commerce app. What was needed was a true USP that would establish the brand for new shoppers through the purchase experience and maintain loyalty among the existing shoppers.

Infinate took a checkout first approach to developing the app, combined with an airy layout that was uncluttered and welcoming. Instead of overwhelming the users with unnecessary and often unused features, purchase was focused on exclusively. This led to the product pages consisting of the product image and just the options to purchase it. Even descriptions became optional, as research revealed that most customers simply did not read it.

This resulted in an app that is simple and directs the user to purchase completion in only 2-3 steps. But it possesses all other e-commerce app features nonetheless, which can be discovered and used in the nav.

Results and Future

The refreshed app has got thousands of positive ratings and reviews, as well as getting a minor visual refresh to keep things up to date. It continues to impress customers particularly for its expreience long after Infinate's involvement has ended.
